Foraging the always enticing Globe Mallow as the dazzling orange flowers begin to burst forth for pollination alongside Blue Verbena! I’ve dried the plants, and am steeping in boiled water for 15 minutes covered for a medicinal brew with similar energetics and actions as Western Herbalisms marshmallow and blue vervain. By the nature of these plants we can feel the presence of mucilage which feeds and soothes tissues, we can taste the bitters indicating digestive/liver action, we see the flower colors indicating fire(orange) and spirit(blue/violet) and associate it with our inner fire(Qi) and emotional/nervous system balance.
