Foraging JOJOBA with Provider Outdoors!
This is Simmondsia chinensis commonly known as Jojoba, an evergreen here in the Sonoran, and the source of the widely used and highly valued Jojoba oil.
The seeds are opening now and scattering with the winds to grow the colonies. These hard seeds are also called nuts, and when roasted at 300 degrees for 30 minutes become useful as a coffee substitute (by grinding and preparing with hot water infusion).
We dare say! Coffee SUBSTITUTE?! Bah! No such thing…. Yet the prices are going up up up ⬆️ and natures FREE!
